ARTIST PROFILE
Jasmine Cull is a Newfoundland
born artist. She works in various mediums with a particular passion for working
with natural fibres. Jasmine is an active member of Fredericton’s Fibre Arts Network (FAN). FAN began over forty years ago, welcoming a diversity of fibre artists engaged in felting, spinning, quilting, rug-hooking and more.
Jasmine has a BFA from NSCAD
University and has been
teaching courses and workshops for over twenty years.
ARTIST STATEMENT
I am inspired to create work that reflects natural forms—including seed
pods, the veins in leaves, birds’ nests, and sea life as well as creatures such
as little mice. I enjoy working with natural materials and creating objects
that bring a smile.
