Building a vessel that represents life, death and everything in between is very challenging. Every color, shape and line comes into play. It means building a home for one’s soul, to create a memory that will stand the test of time. I wanted every viewer to be able to envision his or her own story within this urn, to be able to respect and honor a soul mate, friend, relative…long after they are gone. Kristianne LeBreton, 2011

As a metal artist I am passionate about the emotions I put into my work while creating. I am intrigued by the significance a piece will embrace upon completion. I use contrast as a recurring theme throughout my work, whether it’s by texturing, using patinas or different metals… and find much of my inspiration by translating the idea of “freedom within borders”. Kristianne LeBreton, 2011
