Glenn Adams began painting in 1958, at the age of thirty. He took art classes in Montreal from Patrick Landsley, Guy Viau, Moe Reinblatt, and others, followed by an art workshop at Mount Allison University in 1960, given by L.P. Harris and Jacques de Tonnancour. It was in 1960 that Glenn visited Alex Colville in his studio and began corresponding with him about his paintings. Further studies at Mount Allison University were under the tutelage of Harris, Colville and Helen Dow. As a younger man, Glenn had studied Science and Engineering and spent most of my life working as an engineer, first in the aircraft industry, then in the appliance industry. He has been painting full time since 1992. He lives near Sackville and continues to paint. Glenn has exhibited in New Brunswick, various locations in Ontario, Calgary and Montréal and his work is included in public, corporate and private collections throughout Canada.
