Danielle Hogan

Danielle Hogan is a visual artist, arts writer, and instructor at University Canada West Academy of Fine Art in Victoria British Columbia, Canada . Her studio work touches on a wide range of subjects investigating society's notions surrounding, among other things, obsession, femininity, stereotyping, excess, Value, craft.

Along with various workshops Danielle holds a diploma in Graphic Design from the New Brunswick College of Craft and Design, a bachelor of Fine Arts from the Emily Carr Institute in Vancouver where she finished her final year on scholarship, and also a Master of Fine Arts degree from the University of Victoria.

Danielle has been an artist in residence at the Banff Centre for the Arts in Alberta, has work in the Canada Council for the Arts' ArtsBank collection and has participated in exhibitions from Seattle Washington and Vancouver BC to Fredericton New Brunswick. She worked as curator for the exhibition Changing Hands at the University of Victoria's Maltwood Museum and Gallery in 2005 and currently hosts the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria's discussion series ArtSpeak.
