Anne Johnston is a watercolor and pastel artist, painting landscapes and seascapes, many of them miniatures. She attended the School of Art and Design in Montréal, the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design in Halifax and studied watercolor with Toni Onley and Chincook Tan and pastel with Michael Chesley Johnson. Anne has illustrated books, and taught art and craft courses for adults and art and nature courses for children. She has spent much time painting and hiking in mountainous regions of the world including the Cascades & Olympics, Rockies & Wind River Range, the Alps , Himalayas , Appalachians of Maine and New Hampshire - and even Mahoosic Notch. Sailing and flying her airplane have also influenced her view of the world. Anne lives on the family farm with her husband, daughter and cats near the coast of New Brunswick. |
