Adrienne Godbout lives in the ocean-side community of Shediac, New Brunswick with her two daughters Katrine and Kiève. For over 25 years, she has developed an expressive and colourful style, rich in texture and movement. During the creation process, she lets her work develop on its own ensuring that harmony and simplicity are the primary goals. Very involved in her community, she has participated in numerous art associations and currently holds an Active status with the Federation of Canadian Artists as well as being an aspiring member of the Figurative Arts Institute. Adrienne has participated in several solo and group exhibits in New Brunswick, Québec and Belgium. She will be spending 10 days painting in Provence, in the south of France with a group of Canadian artists in early June 2010. She returned to the Magdalen Islands (the subject of many of her paintings) in July 2010 for her second participation in the Annual Figurative Painting Symposium at l’Étang-du-Nord with a group of Quebecois painters. |
